Since 1985 The World Teleport Association (WTA) has been the only trade association that focuses on the business of satellite communications from the ground up. At the core of its membership are the world's most innovative operators of teleports. From independents to multinationals, Niche service providers to global hybrid carriers.

Since 1995, WTA has presented annual awards to companies and individuals who have dramatically demonstrated excellence in the field of teleport operations, development and technology.

January 08, 2023 World Teleport Association published the Top Operator ranking for 2022

Jordan Media City (JMC) is proud to announce was ranked in two categories:

 1- The Global Top 20 - Teleport
 2- The Independent Top 10

Jordan Media City is a Free Zone broadcast facility based in Jordan, with 25 transponders on a range of satellites including ArabSat, NileSat, Yahsat, Hot Bird and AsiaSat 1A, JMC has established itself as a leader in providing DTH TV and radio services, standard definition in MPEG 2 and 4 as well as high definition in MPEG 4.
