New LTO 8 Archive System installed at Jordan Media City

A New Archive System was installed utilizing New IBM TS4500 Library with 100 LTO 8 Tapes added to the existing IBM TS4500 Library with 550 LTO 6 Tapes.

1.2 PB of LTO 8 data storage on the new library added to our Archive solution which include also 1.375 PB of LTO 6 data storage on the existing library.

Both libraries are managed by Diva management software under Marina Pebble Automation System.

AMMAN, HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh has paid a visit to Jordan Media City (JMC), where he discussed with its CEO, Mr. Radi Alkhas, prospects of cooperation in several fields, especially media.

The meeting focused on utilizing the various services offered by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) and JMC.

A Memorandum of Understanding will be signed soon between both parties to include the following:

-Provision of Internet TV and radio broadcasting services for smartphones and tablets, due to the expertise of TAG-Org in "ICloud" storage and that of JMC in TV broadcasting services through various platforms.(Read More)

Grass Valley at Jordan Media City

JORDAN: Jordan Media City (JMC) recently upgraded the equipment in its studios, having signed a new tenancy contract with a local television channel. JMC turned to Grass Valley as it required systems that would not only bring the facility up-to-date, but would also serve the broadcaster moving in for several years.

Roya TV most watched during Ramadan: Nielsen

Roya TV topped the list of the most watched channels during the fasting month of Ramadan, according to the results of a survey conducted by Nielsen Marketing Research.

Roya received 34.3% of the Jordanian public's viewership, surpassing the 33.6% average viewership of MBC 1, broadcast from Dubai Media City, and the 16% average viewership for Jordanian TV, according to the survey. (Read More)
